Brilliant!

I bought this as a present for my mother after she saw a review in a magazine and said that she thought it would be really useful (much better than the older TomTom we had previously) but that she would have to save up because it cost more than she would consider spending spontaneously... it has certainly proved to be a worthy investment!
Particularly impressive features are:
- on-screen lane guidance at certain motorway exits (incredibly reassuring if you have never been a particular route before and the road layout seems confusing)
- spoken road names (you are not left wondering which road is meant by 'first exit')
- 'continue for X miles' announcements on joining roads like motorways instead of the silence in older versions which sometimes made us wonder if we had taken the correct turning
- option to plan or change a route to avoid certain specific roads or places (useful if the TomTom doesn't 'know' a road is one-way and can't be used, etc)
The only slight problem with the product is that it sometimes falls off the car windscreen if the temperature changes while driving - for example, if we stick it on when it is cold in the early morning and it later warms up. This is never a major issue but can be slightly disconcerting if you're not expecting it. Overall, though, I would thoroughly recommend this product. Five stars!

The Price was good, the delivery was good and the product is great. I first used it in France on a holiday trip to Burgundy. Even in France the Tomtom warned me of speed cameras (which sometimes were no longer there) and the speed limits speed limits. With the device giving you an estimated time of arrival, you can map your route and before leaving decide if it is too far or not. All in all i am extremely happy.

Glad I stuck with Tomtom for my new satnav. Its nice to keep getting map updates, free at present but when the 2 years is up I will have to get them less often. Toured France this summer (2009) and the Tomtom was top of my list of essential items, the next was walkie talkies to keep in touch with another family following us just behind and then the airconditioning in the car.

Bought this last week and it was superb. Very easy to use straight out of the box. Love the new feature that predicts the correct route times too - so much more accurate!

Have had 4 Tom Tom's and they keep getting better. I bought this beacause of the motorway exit system and it works beautifully, along with the traffic info. Well pleased
