Fantastic value, fantastic technology

I've used several satnav sets and this one is the best yet. The Lane guidance is very neat and the overall ease of use is fantastic. The screen size is just about right and the unit is fairly compact. The quick release mounting is very neat and easy to use. Highly recommended. Can't comment on the customer service - I know some others have had problems in this area but so far so good for me - not had to call for support. Seems to be very reliable and the GPS locks onto satellites really quickly.

TomTom XL IQ Routes Edition Satellite Navigation Unit UK & ROI having been using two rac sat navs in the past and not having much joy with them i thought i would go with a tom tom. what a great choice i made with this sat nav. had no problems in finding postcodes steet names its easy to update plus add extras. anybody thinking of buying a new sat nav i would look no further than this one.

Great purchase, easy to set up,easy to use. Two small critiscisms: 1. The power connection to the unit is fiddly, especially if you've got big fingers! Snug and secure once fitted though. 2. The supplied suction pad connector which adheres to the windscreen will not stick to any dimpled dash surfaces, so if you have a deep upper dashboard the unit may be too far away. I purchased a kit through Amazon that contained several different options for attaching the unit to different parts of the car. I disposed of most of them keeping only a large circular plastic disc with a very strong adhesive pad which I attached to the upper dashboard. It's perfect and probably cost about 3p to manufacture! Shop round for alternatives before spending £15 to £30 on a load of stuff you don't need. However don't let that put you off buying this great piece of equipment.

As my first Tomtom one 3rd Edition just break down i deceided to buy the new Tomtom XL IQ Routes. Just got my purchase was a bit surprise with size of the box it came in but it was just to protect the sat nav itself well protected. Open the package received my tomtom xl iq, step by step guide line book with all instruction you need to know about your Sat Nav. Recaived one car charger with the USB cable as well. No problem with the sat nav so far, update my sat nav with the latest UK Map and safety camera and fuel price as well. The screen is well good and the guide as well. The Latest Advance line route is well good when you need it. OVER ALL FOR MY POINT OF VIEW I GAVE IT A 9.5 OF 10. THANK YOU......

This item is so compact it easily fits into a shirt pocket, the volume of the speaker built in is brilliant, its smart features enable you to navigate the motorway with ease the GPS fix is so accurate you don't miss any turnings.
after using the Tomtom navigator on my PDA for 4 years I've finally gone forward into the 21st century.
